MESSAGE FROM JEROME COFFEY'S DAD

Jerome Coffey, serving a state prison sentence in Pennsylvania’s state correctional institution at Greene, has been originally locked up since the March of 1993, after police informants in Philadelphia connected him to the, as yet, unsolved murder of John Moss.

To say the least Jerome Coffey a politicized social prisoner, for over the past 13 ½ years of his incarceration and his particular preoccupation with the present and future of our at-risk youth; co-ordinating self-awareness programs to motivate our youth; in addition, tackling United States society social ills. E.g. racism, sexism, classism, police brutality, domestic violence and so forth.

As a result of his advocacy work, the prison administrators labelled him as an instigator and placed him in solitary confinement without any institutional infraction for over 5 ½ years.

In closing, the prisoncrats never slowed Jerome Coffey advocacy work down, he successfully raised clothes for villages in Uganda; sending wash clothes and toothbrushes over to the Philippines to women prisoners, just to name a few.

So I am proud of my son’s advocacy work and accomplishment, he has never let solitary confinement deteriorate him, and his spirits remain high.

May God Bless

In Struggle
