Dear Deborah:

It's me again. I just had a visit with my lady friend, Nancy, and found out you had documented what I'd written you about. To be perfectly honest, I need to retract a part of it to a small degree. I had come back from my visit with my son & daughter and was pissed off (excuse my French - smile). Charlie gave me a "one-sided" story which was 90% completely true. The confrontation actually involved his saying "You're going to fucking kill my father" and I need this visit... So, that resulted in the second hang up on him. Nancy feels it was highly inappropriate for him to use "that" language. It was not an onslaught of cuss words. The bullying was all true. The threats by guards & Warden Alford "I may take you off his list where you never see him again" - is all true. I just wanted it crystal clear. It's TDCJ's only way of doing things. Intimidation, bullying, & violence. Charlie had been drinking - but was not drunk. He gets emotional when he drinks. For God's sake - TDCJ is going to kill his father. Enough said.

Now a funny one. First I just got back from being weighed. I'm at 246 now - yes I was obese! I think it was 264 or 63 when I started. Anyway, I went to visit my soul mate - my first of 3 wives - on Saturday night. My son was there too. She cried like a baby because it was my last visits with either of them. Charlie bought me two bottled waters. I bet you know where this is going. (smile) After my visit I get back to my cell and at breakfast time (3:30am) the sweet guard Lara says: "Pippin, you might as well eat - they said you ate at visitation." Deborah - I thought my protest was going to turn very ugly very quickly. No details, but I can be a real ass. (smile) I insisted rank be called. She said she would, after chow." Not! Let them come up with a plan? So she stopped & called. No rank 30 minutes later. I said if I don't hear something right now I'm going to cause a major disturbance.

Sgt. Choate & Lt. Poole double checked the bag with "my case number on it" from visitation and called to say it was straightened out. So everything is cool, right? Wrong. At 6am they came with the chains, shackles, belt, etc... to take me over to the same place I'd gone in cuffs 7 times. I did it but wrote the Major saying "No more." I will not be chained my last 30+ days. Get this. The idiots said: "You've been eating - because I weighed the same." I asked if the noticed any new jewelry on me? Duh? The chains & stuff probably weighed 4 or 5 pounds.

Now the funny part. I had a visit with Nancy today and on the way the guards heard me tell about Saturday night's fiasco. Both said: we were told at turnout that "If you drink water at visitation you are off your hunger strike - that it's the same as eating." Me, I'm not kidding, so, I ask Nancy to ask the guard in the visitor side to call and check. She calls rank and is told: "If he gets anything out of the vending machines we put he ate." So, I sat there two hours without water and then an hour waiting to go back. Nancy was livid & went to the warden's office. Guess she still has it!! :-)) A lieutenant showed up "to apologize" for the misunderstanding. He forgot - uh huh, sure, that they sold water. I know Nancy explained how it would be all over the internet in hours that we were denied water at visitation if we wanted to stay on a hunger strike.

There is another thing you need to publicize. I'm, terrible for saying "I'm a loner & not one of you" - and then using your time & resources. Please forgive my rudeness. IF you want updates to post - let me know. I will send them as often as you like. Sorry for my scrawl. Treat it like a puzzle to be solved! (smile)

Ryan Dickson #999250 found out this morning that his piece of crap attorney, Ronald Spriggs, Jr. "missed the filing deadline to file his Writ of Certiorari in the US Supreme Court." That is the kind of idiots, uncaring & incompetent idiots, we are getting appointed to our case.

Donnie Miller #000728 is scheduled to be killed tomorrow. No word from his attorneys after he was promised they were filing a Nullification Claim under venue(?)I&II and "in the same way Ronald Chambers got a stay." It's about the jurors not having a vehicle to consider mitigating evidence and to vote their conscience. Yes, I'm very into legalese. I am finishing up on my Motion for Leave, with brief in support, to file a Petition for an Extraordinary Writ in the Supreme Court, I did my State Successor Writ already - filed 02/13/07. The Motion to the 5th Circuit for Leave to file a Successive Writ will be filed this week - with a copy of the "proposed writ" accompanying it. I have to do Motions for Leave, for Stay of Execution, and all the cover letters, it's a bunch of work, BUT something positive may be brewing.

I worry about "the bad guys reading this" - and you know they do - so I will just say I've caused some concern. Deborah, if my pro se applications result in even a 31 day stay (I'd hate it!) it will open the doors for a lot of guys here to do the same and most importantly, it will show how incompetent my "9" - count em - 9 - court appointed attorneys have been. Nancy feels like I do - the odds are astronomical! But ya never know. Look what ole David Ruiz did on an envelope! He forced all of Texas to treat prisoners better after fixing a lawsuit on the only paper he had - an envelope! God rest his soul! We need more men just like him.

If you read my pro se succession writ or even the motion for leave in the 5th circuit - you might become a believer. Texas will murder an innocent man - of murder. I'm far from innocent - March 29th. I lost my train of thought. Actually the trains engine is running on fumes and warer(?) When Donnie begged to - no insisted, I won't do that to my friend, wrong word - to get a phone call it took about 4 hours to get one. I was at visit and made a scene in the hall yelling for Major Nelson to talk to me for a minute - about Donnie. Well, they let him make his call(s) but refused to let him call his attorney. Said the attorney had to call here - not the other way around! Donnie has 23-1/2 hours to live (right now) if his idiot attorneys don't file "the exact same issue Chambers filed & got a stay." Nicholes-Bey #000707 too, I've tried to help all I can. Nancy is calling Nick's mom, Lee and his attorneys. They filed "clemency proceedings" and " a third habeas petition" in state court (which will be shot down immediately as an abuse of writ). All they have to do is file Chamber's same arguments & they have to receive a stay.

Let's see, what else. Did I tell you Charles Smith, #000953 got denied rec & a shower so he studded up and threw hot coffee in Officer Bruce's face? Yep! I didn't know it happened and got up and started documenting all the guards & ranks names as they tore his cell apart - took all containers, radio, hot pot, etc. Oh, food too. Level 3 - and it was the guard who provoked the situation. Smith is on dialysis, has been 6+ years - 3 times a week, they put the man on food loaf - even though he has a very special diet to control the illness. So Shadow (his AKA) quit going to dialysis! Now rank wants to be his buddy - but keeps him on level 3 without his property. He is refusing to go. He got so sick they took him to medical. You will love this - they got him to sign a "Do Not Resuscitate" document. NO ONE has come to check on him since!

I think that's enough to get your cookies off for tonight. (big ass smile). Type your little heart off if you wish. Please do let me know if you want updates for the next 20 days. I figure I will be wiped out by the 19th. Oh, my visits evolved. A cousin from my mom's side of the family wants to come visit so I decided to let him - but will leave it as my last visit. I don't want my loved ones to see me in bad shape. My cousin hasn't seen me in over 20 years - "so how would he know I haven't always looked wiped out?" (smile)

At any given time things could change but my hunger strike will not. IF they do something stupid or cheat about my protest - saying I'm eating - there is the chance I'll go postal on them - but I came in a peaceful man and want to go out a peaceful man - at least until they try to take me to murder me - "Then it's war!"

Please give my regards to all. Keep up the good fight and don't take any wooden nickels!! :-) (One of my dad's sayings.)
