Dear Deborah:

Hello lovely lady - good to hear from you again. Your 3/10 letter arrived tonight. That's quick! Before I blather on - did I request birthday cards & greetings for Kathy Cox, PO Box 140052, Dallas, Texas 75214 - from you and your readers? When I'm focused on legal work I tend to lose my short term memory. These cells - I guess. Couldn't be old age creeping up on me? Nah! (smile)

Ryan thanks you. He has Nancy & 3 others on his list as of today. You did great girl! Thank you! On Kathy Cox - she is a wonderful lady getting ready to turn 83 on 3/22/07. I want my last visit with her to be one full of Joy - that she knows I orchestrated multiple birthday cards & greetings for my last birthday gift to her. For decades she has traveled from Dallas every week to spend Thursday and Fridays with us or the women on DR. She is a very special lady in my life - like Nancy is to me. We never know when we will lose her & Irene & Jack Wilcox. All are in their 80's. DR will never be the same when they pass. They are the religious face - ministers to prisoners - of Texas DR.

I kind of hate this. I'm the giving person in my relationships in my life but all I ever do is ask favors of you, Nancy and others. And yes my dear, suave, debonair and can back it up (big ass smile). I just love to meet 'the real person' we all have in us. Meeting friends through the internet from all over the world fascinates me and makes me feel alive. I thank you for all your efforts to make it happen. You are yet another guardian angel in my life.

Nancy will help you in any way she can. Guaranteed. She is just totally again violent protests or any gang type activities. During my 2001 hunger strike she spearheaded the marches in front of Polunsky to the Warden's house. She had a great rapport with Carl Reynolds for years and got positive changes done for a lot of people.

An update on my brother, Joseph Nichol-Bey. The female guard at visitation told me wrong. They did NOT gas him - but ran in on him, hog-tied him and cut his clothes off with scissors. It's just all they know to do - beat, intimidate, disgrace and punish - even unto our last breath. I will be buck naked & screaming (big ass smile). So look out guards - ya might get a handful of something you didn't mean to get. (smile)

They moved Charles Nealy in #5 cell earlier for his 3/20 date. 7 days is the norm to go under the cameras. It's pouring rain and #5 cell leaks like a sieve. So he was yelling until they got him some towels to clean it all up. $30 million prison is falling apart.

I said I was starting my water only hunger strike on 2/23? I guess I was unfocused when I wrote that to you. It's even filed in my writ Petition & 1983 lawsuit (mailed out tonight) that I started the protest at 12:01AM 2/19/07. I'm going to send you copies of my claims & writ petition questions for you to see the backdoor way I'm trying to get action on the lethal injection issue. It would be a minor miracle BUT it could cause Texas to stop all executions IF the Supreme Court heard my writ.

I have a Successive Writ in action in the 20th District Court (convicting court my trial was in); it's appeal to the CCA; a Motion for Leave in the 5th Circuit of Appeals asking to be allowed to file my Proposed Federal Successive Writ (same as State Writ with a few pages changed); and the all those claims are also filed in a Motion for Leave to file an Extraordinary Writ in the U.S. Supreme Court. Sounds like a lot of work! Yep! Then tonight I'm mailing out my 42 USC 1983 complaint/lawsuit against Texas in the lethal injection procedures doing unconstitutional; an Appeal to the 5th - in case the 1983 complaint is denied; and then another Writ of Certiorari to the US Supreme Court on the 4 issues (sheet enclosed) on lethal injection. Wouldn't that be something if a dumb ole' DR prisoner did what Texas attorneys couldn't do? Keep on praying!

No response from the CCA yet. It was filed on 2/13! Seems very odd it's taking this long. It might be they are seeing if I die from my protest before bothering with answering my writ. Nah. The odds are astronomical. But I will go out as a legal warrior!

I'm writing dozens of people to send Kathy Cox birthday cards so I need to close for now. I got loaded up on stamps (60+) so I'm good to go now. I will write again before the weekend unless something happens. Keep up the good works. You will be blessed throughout you life for all your loving care to others.

Much Love & Respects,

Roy

God Bless

P.S. A surprise visit today! Charlie came with my cousin I hadn't seen in 20+ years. :-)))) I'm blessed to have all this love & care I'm getting!
